Recent Projects
We had the pleasure of recently working with our Profoam regional representative on a project in Burnet, TX. We sprayed 2” closed cell foam on a 30’ x 40’ metal barn to help get the owner out of the heat. Along with the barn, we sprayed 2” closed cell foam on his 20’ x 8’ Conex for a future homeowner project. You may be asking yourself “Why 2 inches and why closed cell?”- that is a great question! If you have owned a metal building you are familiar with the “sweating” that occurs during certain parts of the year, especially when the temperature difference is apparent. Our closed cell foam becomes a Class II moisture vapor barrier at 1.7“ in depth. That means no more water inside of your structure. You can break the chain of environmental events that cause the condensation. It also provides great structural stability to your building and provides ~ R-7 per inch. If you are dealing with a metal structure and wanting spray foam, closed cell is the recommended foam of choice to prevent water intrusion and the possibility of mold.
